Overview
The tablet sits on the table and adjusts itself: weather, time of day, day of the stay. A quiet home view that surfaces the right moment — and keeps everything else one touch away.

Aura is an in-residence tablet that turns a luxury rental into a hosted experience. Editorial briefings at dawn. Curated recommendations at dusk. The quiet, considered details that turn a stay into a memory.
We don't list features.
We design moments.
A €2,400-a-night chalet hands its guests a printed binder and a list of Wi-Fi codes — then asks them to figure out the rest on their own. So they Google. At 9 p.m. With their boots still on.
The brochure says concierge. The reality is a WhatsApp chain across three time zones, a stack of leaflets curling at the edges, and the slow ache of being treated like a tourist in a place you came to feel like a local.
Five hours a week answering the same questions. A 4.7 review when it should be a 4.9. Premium positioning and the word “rental” in the same sentence on Booking.com. None of it deliberate. All of it expensive.

The tablet sits on the table and adjusts itself: weather, time of day, day of the stay. A quiet home view that surfaces the right moment — and keeps everything else one touch away.

A daily edition, set the night before. Tomorrow's weather, the snow report from Reiteralm, the restaurant that opens at four — written like a letter, not a feed.

Aura watches the weather and the hour, and quietly reorders what it suggests. Twenty centimetres overnight surfaces the right valley. A grey afternoon offers the thermal spa.

The owner's recommendations, phrased as the owner would phrase them. Real opening hours. Walking distance from the door. No twelve-tab research at seven in the evening.

A bottle of Steirischer Schilcher. Fresh Brötchen for the morning. A spa pass for tomorrow. Tap a card to the tablet — it's on the bill, with the right margin to the right partner.

Netflix. Disney+. Spotify. Already signed in to the property's account. No remote that does eleven things, none of them well.

Forty-eight hours before arrival, a WhatsApp on behalf of the house: “We can have the chalet ready earlier for you — would you like to arrive at 1pm?” The morning before departure, a card on the tablet that knows the weather and sees the family: in rain, “dry coffee instead of packing in the snow”; with kids, “skip the packing scramble.” One tap. Paid. Done.
review uplift, first 90 days post-install
Most negative reviews of premium rentals aren't about the property — they're about the friction. Wi-Fi codes. Restaurants closed on Sunday. Where to ski when it rains. Aura removes the friction. The reviews follow.
“We were a 4.6 chalet trapped in a 4.7 review average. We're a 4.9 now. Same chalet.”
returned to the owner, per active chalet
WhatsApp messages from the lift queue. Calls about the dishwasher cycle. The same eight questions, all year. Aura answers them — calmly, in three languages — before they reach you.
“The first week, I noticed I hadn't replied to a single guest message. They were already taken care of.”
average added monthly revenue, per chalet
Shop Moments turns the tablet into a soft, well-curated point of sale. A bottle of regional wine, a Brötchen order for the morning, a spa pass for tomorrow — billed cleanly to the stay, with the right margin to the right partner.
“We added a revenue line that didn't exist. The first weekend it covered a year of the subscription.”
take-up rate for early check-in & late checkout (industry benchmark, Oracle / Skift)
Forty-eight hours before arrival, Aura sends a WhatsApp on behalf of the house: “We can have the chalet ready earlier for you.” The evening before departure, a card appears on the tablet that knows the weather and sees the family. Both with a transparent price, both one tap to pay. No calls. No forms. No staff effort.
“We started with late checkout without thinking twice. Three weeks in, the added seasonal revenue was in five figures.”
Forty-eight hours before arrival, Aura detects whether the chalet is free the night before and sends a personally addressed WhatsApp on behalf of the house: “We can have the chalet ready earlier for you.” The evening before departure, a card appears on the tablet with two options — Standard until 4 pm, Premium until 5 pm — that knows the weather and sees the family. One tap to pay.
No calls. No forms. No staff effort.

Three variants of the late-checkout card are chosen 24 hours ahead by the forecast: in sun, “stay on the terrace, take your time”; in rain, “start the drive home dry.” The 24-hour forecast is ~90% accurate — the card feels to the guest as if the house had thought ahead.
When the booking includes children, a dedicated variant overrides the weather variants: “Skip the packing scramble with kids.” Industry data places the take-up of this variant 12 to 18 points above the neutral version. Aura knows the booking — the tone follows.
Instead of a flat fee, Aura calculates 30% of the gross nightly rate — the DACH premium-segment standard. In high season the upsell stays valuable; in shoulder season it stays affordable. Owners can choose a flat amount per chalet (e.g. €30) — the recommendation remains percentage-based.
37% take-up rate for early check-in and late checkout (Oracle / Skift, 2024). WhatsApp deep-links convert 30 to 50% better than free-text replies (Meta Business data). Aura uses both.

A staff iPad walks each room with the camera. Aura learns the chalet once — every cushion, every glass, every Bose remote.
From then on, every checkout is verified in minutes. Missing items are flagged, damages are logged with the photo evidence beside them, and the next guest's first impression is protected — without a clipboard, without a printed list, and in the housekeeper's own language.

ein Naturjuwel
“We chose Aura because the binder we kept reprinting wasn't worthy of the stay we were charging for. Within a season the tablet had paid for itself — and our reviews finally read the way the chalet always looked.”
